The result is an ultra-pure liquid that has been validated as Extra Virgin Olive Oil with very low acidity and will maintain its current optimal chemical and flavor profile through the period indicated on the label.

Flavor profile is slightly bitter with a peppery bite which indicates freshness and high levels of antioxidants.

The village of Vasilitsi, Greece

Origins

The Koroneiki olive cultivar is named after the small harbor town of Koroni in the Messinia region of the southwestern Peloponnese, Greece. Cultivated for over 3,000 years, this variety is recognized as a cornerstone of Greek agriculture and healthy local diets.

The grove that produces Hellenic Village oil is located in the farming village of Vasilitsi, Greece, which lies 6km southwest of Koroni and 59km southwest of the regional capital, Kalamata.

Vasilitsi falls in a narrow geographical zone, that in 2010, UNESCO declared as one of four areas on earth representative of the Mediterranean Diet – an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.

The land has been owned by the same family since the late 18th century and the fruit from these old-growth trees has supported their health for generations.
